Channel 6 to Launch Late-Night Block

CANNES, April 18: Irish
entertainment network Channel 6 is launching a new late-night erotic
programming block this May called 18+ Only.

The block will air on
Friday nights from 12:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. It launches May 4 with newly acquired
series from JC Media.

“Scheduled to air after midnight,
we feel this block will appeal to our late-night, primarily male audience,”
said Michael Murphy, the founder and director of programs at the channel. “We
have initially planned a ten-week run for this block, but we will consider
extending that with additional content if it is received well.”

The package includes
Total Romance, a two-part
mini-series; Tropics of Lust
(consisting of 12 separate episodes which will be aired in groups of three over
four evenings); and The Diary,
a four-part series.
