Nominees Announced for Monte Carlo TV Festival

MONTE-CARLO, April 3: Shows from the U.S. and the U.K. lead
the TV series nominees for this year’s Gold Nymph Awards, which will be
presented during the 47th Monte Carlo Television Festival, taking
place June 10 to 14 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

The winners will be announced on June 14. In each category,
Gold Nymphs will be awarded to the Best Producer, Best European Producer, Best
Actor and Best Actress.

In the drama category, the British nominees are Afterlife, Doctor Who and Life On Mars, while
the American nods went to 24, Grey's
Anatomy
and Lost. The other drama nominees are Aspe from Belgium, The Great Revival from China, Anna Pihl and Forestillinger from Denmark, Cross Over PJ and Mafiosa from France, GSG 9 and SOKO
Leipzig
from Germany, Edge Of Paradise from Nigeria, Contos De Natal and Nome De Código: Sintra from Portugal, Vrachebnaya Taina from Russia, The Lab from South Africa, Cuéntame Cómo Pasó and Porca Misèria from Spain and Poliser from Sweden.

In comedy, Curb Your Enthusiasm, My Name Is Earl and Weeds
from the U.S. are up against three shows from the U.K.—Fear,
Stress, And Anger
