AHDI Secures Distribution Rights for Two IFL Series

PALISADES
PARK, March 5: Alfred Haber Distribution (AHDI) has secured the
exclusive international distribution rights, excluding Latin America and the
Middle East, for two new series from the International Fight League (IFL): IFL
Fight Night
and IFL Battleground.

Co-founded by Gareb Shamus and Kurt Otto, the IFL is the
world’s first team-based professional league for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). It
is comprised of 12 teams, 10 of which are based in the United States, along
with teams in Tokyo and Toronto. MMA is an intense and strategic sport in which
athletes use many forms of fighting including karate, judo, jiu-jitsu, boxing,
tae kwon do, wrestling and other disciplines.

The 22×1-hour late-night series
IFL Fight Night
showcases five
fights between two teams. It premiered on February 23
in the U.S. and is currently airing on the FOX Sports Network (FSN). The
22×2-hour series IFL Battleground features
an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the IFL, with action footage of MMA,
rising stars in the sport and their world champion coaches. The series also
includes event action, highlights and vignettes. Starting March 12, it will air
in prime time in the U.S. on MyNetworkTV.

“Over the last few years, the growth rate of the MMA has
been nothing less than phenomenal,” commented Alfred Haber, the founder of AHDI. “With the IFL coming on the scene
at this juncture, with its team-based format, the FSN combat series and the
prime-time network Battleground
presentation, it all combines to create explosive television for broadcasters
around the world. This is a tremendous opportunity to grow the audience from
the original limited mainstream exposure.”
