Discovery to Premiere Doc Revealing Artifacts Related to Holy Tomb

SILVER SPRING, February 26: The Discovery Channel will
premiere The Lost Tomb of Jesus, a
documentary executive produced by James Cameron revealing new scientific evidence supporting the
possible find of the tomb of Jesus of Nazareth and his family, on Sunday March
4 at 9 p.m.

The documentary will also air on other Discovery networks,
including: Discovery Times Channel
on March 5, Discovery en Espanol on March 18, and Discovery HD Theater on March
28.

Executive produced by Cameron and directed by Simcha
Jacobovici, The Lost Tomb of Jesus chronicles
the investigation of 2,000-year-old artifacts that are related to Jesus of
Nazareth and Mary Magdalene. The artifacts include limestone ossuaries (bone
boxes) and physical evidence found in a 2,000-year-old tomb in Talpiot, Jerusalem.
The documentary presents the latest evidence from world-renowned experts in
Aramaic script, ancient DNA analysis, forensics, archaeology and statistics.
Among the major discoveries chronicled in the program is new evidence that
Jesus and Mary Magdalene, also known as "Mariamene e Mara," may have
had a son named Judah.

The Lost Tomb of Jesus was
produced for Discovery Channel worldwide by Associated Producers in cooperation
with VisionTV Canada and Channel 4 in the U.K.

In conjunction with the film, HarperSanFrancisco is
publishing a companion book, The Jesus Family Tomb, co-authored by Jacobovici and Dr. Charles
Pellegrino, with a foreword by Cameron.

Viewers can also visit a section on Discovery’s website
dedicated to the documentary (www.discovery.com/tomb)
for forums, blogs and in-depth information such as a virtual evidence kit and
an original map of the tomb drawn by Dr. Shimon Gibson in 1980, that will allow
them to reach their own decisions about these new findings.

"Discovery Channel brings our worldwide audience the
latest information about life's enduring mysteries through the network's
extensive funding of scientific research and analysis," said Jane Root,
the president and GM of Discovery Channel. "It is an honor to be part of
what might be the most important discovery in history. This program provides
viewers with the latest forensic evidence, information about the Talpiot tomb,
and important historical context. We invite viewers to review the facts, engage
