Oxygen Boosts Digital Presence

NEW YORK, January 24: Oxygen will launch a social network
for women, Oomph.net, and its first broadband channel, SheDidWhat.tv, this
month.

Oomph.net is a social network that will allow women to unite
online and connect with other women through shared interests. Oomph users can
find people with similar interests through various personality tests. Women can
also bond through joining “passion groups,” which are arranged by themes such
as pop culture, careers, sex, art, culture and music, and are led by an expert
in the field.

"We created Oomph.net to be a place for emotional
support for people who don't need it,” said Gerry Laybourne, the chairman and
CEO of Oxygen. “It's designed for women who are strong, independent and have
something to say—which is exactly what the Oxygen brand is all about.
Oomph.net is programmed like a media outlet, it's not a flat landscape; it's a
very active online community that connects women on multiple levels and allows
them to share in a well-rounded networking experience."

SheDidWhat.tv, the first broadband channel of any women’s
cable network, will also launch this month. It will feature ad-supported
programming content, web exclusives, and on-demand access to Oxygen’s
programming that includes clips and full episodes of the network’s original
series. The comedy series Our Bodies, Myself will be the first original series to air exclusively on the broadband
channel.
