MTG, TV 2 Unveil New Danish Sports Channels

COPENHAGEN, December 21: Modern Times Group is joining
forces with the Danish commercial broadcaster TV 2 Danmark to launch new sports
channels in the market in the first half of next year.

TV 2 Sport will be available through the Viasat pay-TV
package, which is available on the company’s own DTH platform as well as
through IPTV and third-party cable networks. It will replace Viasat Sport 1 in
Denmark and will feature a mixture of Viasat and TV 2 sports content, including
up to 2,000 hours a year of live broadcasts. The combined pool of rights owned
by the two companies includes coverage of the UEFA Champions League, the summer
and winter Olympic Games and the Tour de France. TV 2 Sport Xtra will offer
additional sports coverage, and will eventually be available in HD.

MTG’s sports offerings also include Viasat Sport 1 in Sweden
and SportN with NRK in Norway, as well as the pan-Nordic Viasat channels Viasat
Sport 2 and Viasat Sport 3.
