Globo Closes Carnaval Deal with Fashion TV

RIO DE JANEIRO, December 12: Fashion TV has reached a deal
with Globo TV International to offer its international viewers coverage of the
2007 Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro.

Fashion TV, available in more than 200 markets in five
continents, will deliver more than 10 hours of coverage from the famous
Brazilian festival, which takes place February 18 and 19 and involves a parade
of 13 samba schools. “This partnership with Fashion TV is strategic, as it will
provide enormous visibility for our TV Globo high-quality Carnaval coverage,
especially in Asia, Europe and the United States,” said Raphael Corrêa Netto,
the sales director for Globo TV International. “During two days, millions of
people will have the chance to see this grandiose festival, with its tropical
soul music, dancing, costumes, fashion, color and excitement.”
