Fireworks Takes on Content from Male Youth Brand Heavy

LONDON, July 19: ContentFilm and Fireworks International
have inked a deal to represent content from Heavy, a digital entertainment
brand for men 18 to 34 whose programming includes Behind The Music That
Sucks
.

Fireworks will represent outside of the U.S. all original
and library programming from Heavy, which currently amounts to about 35 hours.
The deal is valid for three years and includes titles like Pimp My Weapon, Contagious, Blisster, Tourettes
Cowboy
, The Manly Man Games and The Massive Mating Game.

“Heavy is emerging as one of the leading players in branded
web content,” said John Schmidt, the CEO of ContentFilm. Heavy’s co-CEO’s Simon
Assaad and Dave Carson “create programming that thrives in its Internet home
and then spreads and explodes onto other media platforms,” Schmidt continued.
“We intend to create international partnerships for Heavy that give them an
outlet for their programming and a web environment for their Internet
programming.
