TV Land to Launch Broadband Video Player

NEW
YORK, July 13: Visitors to the TVLand.com website will soon be able to access
several classic TV shows, including Star Trek, as well as interstitial
series, celebrity interviews and other content via a new broadband video
player.

"TVLand.com has been
serving classic TV fans on the Web for nearly ten years," said Larry W.
Jones, the president of TV Land and Nick at Nite. "Now, we have created an
online destination that not only fulfills what viewers love about TV Land, but
also features the fun and off-beat content that doesn't lend itself to a linear
television schedule. This site
will serve as an entertainment resource rather than just another screen on
which to watch programming. It is truly unique and very exciting and is the
natural next step in TV Land's evolution."

The broadband video player will
feature full-length episodes of a featured program every month, as well as
shows that have never been available for free on the Web, including Star
Trek
. There will also be uncut episodes and
bonus footage of Daniel Boone as
well as select moments, outtakes and bloopers from Three's Company in September. Mr. T's upcoming original series I Pity The
Fool
will be the site's primary focus in
October; Star Trek in November;
and in December, the work of Marlo Thomas will be offered. Original TV Land
programming on offer will include episodes and clips from TV Land
Awards
and Sit Down Comedy with
David Steinberg
. Plus, visitors will be
able to access vintage television commercials, promos, clips from classic shows
and celebrity interviews.
