KBS World Expands to the Middle East

SEOUL, July 11: KBS World, the international cable and
satellite channel operated by the Korean terrestrial KBS, is now available in
the Middle East via the satellite platform ArabSat 2D.

ArabSat brings the Korean-language channel to 22 Middle
Eastern countries, accounting for about 20 million homes. KBS World is
expecting strong interest in the channel, following the success of the Korean
dramas Autumn in My Heart and Winter
Sonata on ERTU in Egypt.

KBS World is available on DISH Network in the U.S. as well
as on platforms in Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia,
Mongolia, France, Germany, Poland and Bulgaria. KBS aims to add on a further 20
countries in the near future.
