Strawberry Shortcake Set for Feature-Length Treatment

BURBANK, June 16: Strawberry Shortcake is making her way
into the feature-film world with Sweet Dreams, a full-length animated movie that rolls out this October, in a deal
between brand owner American Greetings Corp., licensing agent DIC Entertainment
and licensee Fox Home Entertainment.

The CGI animated film is slated to launch in theaters across
the U.S. in October. It is written by screenwriter Carter Crocker (Jungle
Book 2, Winnie The Pooh Series, Return to Neverland). The release will be supported by a national
advertising, marketing and publicity campaign. DIC has an exclusive promotion
planned with Toys ‘R’ Us and special webisodes will appear on the Strawberry
Shortcake Friendship Club website promoting the movie to over 400,000 members. American Greetings will also promote Sweet
Dreams with e-cards.
