VICE Studios Bolsters Leadership Team

VICE Studios has bolstered its leadership team across genres with several new hires and promotions.

Adam Kassan has joined the team as executive VP of scripted film and television, and Cat Lawson has been hired as executive VP of unscripted. Claire Marshall has been upped to head of international scripted, and Paul Randle has been promoted to managing director of VICE Studios UK and global head of business affairs. Also, Joe Ingham has been elevated to creative director of unscripted, and Nate Brown has been tapped as chief financial officer.

“We now have exceptional IP, an incredible team of creative and production executives and people across the company who genuinely care about the work,” said Amy Powell, president of VICE Studios. “I feel lucky to be building VICE Studios alongside each of them. It’s especially meaningful to welcome Adam and Cat as they join our team and to recognize Claire and Paul, who’ve been such an important part of building this team to date.”

Kassan will spearhead the studio’s global scripted strategy out of the Los Angeles office. He brings decades of experience from top creative and executive roles, including president of film and TV at Khalabo Ink Society, executive VP at 6th & Idaho and various positions at Cross Creek Pictures, Scott Free, Paramount Pictures, Plan B Entertainment and Miramax.

“VICE Studios thrives at the intersection of culture and creativity,” Kassan commented. “This team brings a wealth of experience and a fearless approach to storytelling. Our mission is to deliver projects that push cultural boundaries and resonate globally while staying unapologetically authentic.”

Lawson, based in the U.K., will oversee the unscripted team across the global studio. She joins from Banijay UK’s Remarkable Entertainment, where she served as joint managing director and was instrumental in shaping the company’s creative direction across entertainment. In addition to her leadership role, she was the showrunner and co-creator of Netflix’s Building the Band and showrunner and executive producer across All Together Now, Ready Steady Cook, Sunday Brunch and two seasons of Starstruck. She previously served as creative director at Studio Lambert and Two Four.

Also based in the U.K., Marshall will now oversee the development and production of scripted projects across the studio’s international portfolio. She is currently producing season four of Gangs of London. She previously ran the TV arm of Benedict Cumberbatch’s SunnyMarch, executive producing Patrick Melrose and developing projects for Disney, Channel 4, Sky, BBC, HBO and Prime Video. She also previously served as head of development at Origin Pictures and has held roles at Film4 and Channel 4 Drama.

Randle, whose previous experience includes roles at House Productions, Amazon Studios and NBCUniversal, will now ensure smooth global operations across the studio.

Ingham will continue to develop and produce ambitious formats and help shape the creative direction of all unscripted content. His recent credits include Ross Kemp: Lost Boys, Deadly Men, EastEnders: 40 Years on the Square, Into the Void, Maternity Broken Trust and Soccer’s American Dream. Prior to joining VICE Studios, he held roles at Lightbox Productions, Fremantle and Endemol Shine UK.

Additionally, Nate Brown has been tapped as chief financial officer. He joins from Anonymous Content and has held roles at Vudu, VICE Media, Broad Green Pictures and Relativity.

Those continuing in their roles are Rosie Taylor, head of unscripted production; Dixie Linder, president of Cuba Pictures; Bianca Gavin, head of scripted production; Even Davidson, VP of scripted in Los Angeles; Dakota DeBellis, VP of scripted in New York; and Guillermo Garcia, head of production in North America.
