SPT International Production Names Commercial & Digital VP

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) International Production has appointed Matt Ford to the newly created role of VP of commercial and digital.

Ford will lead the group’s work on creating digital-first original content for streaming, digital, social and audio platforms. He will report to Matthew Justice, executive VP for U.K. and Europe, and will work closely with Justice; Hannah Smith, VP of operations at SPT; and Wayne Garvie, president of international production.

Ford has wide-ranging expertise in digital media. He previously launched 4Studio commercially at Channel 4; scaled UNILAD from startup to multi-million-pound business presale to LADBible; led digital commercial strategies for BBC Studios, Social Chain, Cowshed Collective and VICE; and co-founded the digital-first media business CoLabX.
