Sacha Khari Joins SPT International Production

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) International Production has tapped Sacha Khari, head of digital commissioning at Channel 4, as senior VP of creative for its digital studio, effective in early 2026.

Khari will join Matt Ford, the commercial lead on the U.K. initiative, to establish and drive the digital content strategy. Through engaging with U.K. content creators on digital originals and building creator partnerships, the initiative aims to supercharge the group’s work on creating digital-first original content for streaming, digital, social and audio platforms.

Khari and Ford will lead the team and will report to Matthew Justice, executive VP for the U.K. and Europe. They will work closely with Justice; Hannah Smith, VP of operations at SPT; and Wayne Garvie, president of international production.

Khari joined Channel 4 in 2021 to handle all social and digital content commissioning across entertainment, factual, comedy, food and branded genres. During his time there, he devised and launched Channel 4.0, growing the digital-first brand to over a billion views, with more than 2.5 million subscribers and an audience base of 85 percent under 34. In 2025, he launched Channel 4 Served and A Comedy Thing by Channel 4. His department collected more than 30 industry awards.

Prior to that, Khari was group director of video at UNILAD, overseeing strategy, development, production and delivery of all original and commercial content globally, before moving over to LADbible Group as head of video.
