Netflix Launches Top 10 List of Popular Titles

Netflix has unveiled a new feature that enables users to view the top ten most popular titles on the platform.

In addition to an overall top ten, Netflix is also making it possible to see the top ten most popular series among its users as well as the top ten most popular films. This new row shows the most-watched series in the user’s country and will be updated every day, with the position of the row depending on how relevant the shows and films are to them.

Shows and films that make these lists will also have a special “Top 10” badge, wherever they appear on Netflix.

Cameron Johnson, director of product innovation at Netflix, said: “We’re constantly looking for ways to make Netflix better. It’s why we’ve been experimenting with top ten lists in Mexico and the U.K. for the last six-plus months. Members in both countries have found them useful, so we are now rolling them out to even more. When you watch a great movie or TV show, you share it with family and friends or talk about it at work, so other people can enjoy it too. We hope these top ten lists will help create more of these shared moments, while also helping all of us find something to watch more quickly and easily.”

The first-ever top ten list for the U.S. was topped by Love is Blind, a brand-new show from the Red Arrow Studios company Kinetic Content. The Last Thing He Wanted, Narcos Mexico, Locke & Key, The Foreigner, To All the Boys: PS I Still Love You, Babies, Girl on the Third Floor, A Bad Moms Christmas and Better Call Saul round out the list.
