Shaftesbury’s Christina Jennings

Christina Jennings, chairwoman and CEO of Shaftesbury, chats with World Screen’s Mansha Daswani about getting back into the kids’ content business and putting together the new slate, the evolution of the drama co-production market and the company’s priorities for the future.

A creator and producer of television, film and digital content, Canada-based Shaftesbury’s current catalog features the long-running Murdoch Mysteries, Frankie Drake Mysteries and the Netflix horror series Slasher in addition to international co-productions like Departure and The Sounds, with more in the pipeline. Shaftesbury has recently reentered the kids’ space with original live-action and animated programming, including Miikshi, Bella Dancerella and Stinky Science.
