FilmRise Hires for BBC Studios Alum for Global Acquisitions

FilmRise has brought in Whitney Muroff for the newly created position of director of global acquisitions.

Muroff will be responsible for developing new multi-territory film and TV acquisition opportunities and will also work across existing content partners to help build FilmRise’s growing global licensing and distribution business. Muroff will represent FilmRise as a buyer at film and television markets throughout the year, including at the upcoming MIPCOM. She will report directly to Max Einhorn, head of acquisitions for FilmRise.

Previously, Muroff was manager for factual sales and co-productions at BBC Studios. Prior to that, she served as a sales executive at BBC Studios, handling the sales of unscripted content licensing to linear and digital platforms such as AVOD and SVOD.
