TORONTO: CCI has picked up the worldwide rights to a range of films, including Rage and Modra.

Rage features the 1981 Springbok Tour, a difficult time in New Zealand’s history and is inspired by the South African rugby Union tour of New Zealand. It premieres this month in New Zealand.

Jill Keenleyside, the executive VP of distribution, said, “We believe that Rage is both an important story and an extraordinary film and a strong addition to our feature film roster. We are very proud of it and the three new films we are bringing to TIFF.”

CCI has also secured Modra, a drama from filmmaker and actress Ingrid Veninger that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year.

Failing Better Now is an offbeat comedy about a writer who loses her sister’s cat and falls for the aspiring rock star who joins her on her search through New York’s East Village. CCI has also opted for Mandie and the Forgotten Christmas, a family holiday film produced by Lost World Pictures.
