Terranoa Scores New Deals

PARIS: Terranoa has secured a range of deals, including agreements in Italy, France and Russia, and is currently picking up rights for projects in development to be presented at MIPCOM.

RAI 5 in Italy opted for 12 travel titles, while Histoire in France took 13 history titles and Red Media Group in Russia went for 15 history titles. The French distributor is launching seven new hours at French Screenings in Biarritz next week, including the 3×52-minute wildlife series Meet My Wild Friend and the 1×52-minute sports portrait Alain Prost, Racing Through Life.

Solar Impulse: The Wings of the Sun was picked up by NHK in Japan, Noga in Israel, Russia 2 and SVT in Sweden. SVT also bought the Volcano Devils, an account of the volcanologists Maurice and Katja Kraft’s last days. RAI 5 and DRTV in Greece picked up In The Footsteps of Tintin.

MIPDOC 2011’s most screened program, 300 Days Alone on an Island, sold to Planète in France, NDR in Germany and BBC Alba et HiFi Canada. Portraits, Self Portraits sold to Globosat in Portugal, RTM in Morocco and Babel TV in Italy. This series features the United Nation’s Universal Children’s Day on November 20.
