MTV Branded Block to Launch on Bulgaria’s City TV

PARIS: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has signed an agreement that sees the first-ever MTV branded block launching in Bulgaria, in a deal with City TV.

The block will air twice a week, featuring shows such as Paris Hilton’s My New BFF. Also set for the block is the reality series Laguna Beach. All programming will be localized in Bulgarian.

Maria Rakhmatullina-Ufland, the program director for emerging markets at VIMN, said: "MTV is a pioneer in creating global properties which resonate with local audiences. We are looking forward to working with City TV to bring a generation of Bulgarian viewers a slate of popular MTV titles for the very first time."

She continued: "Our deep understanding of key viewer demographics from ages four to 40 means we can offer broadcaster clients a comprehensive package of world class content and 360 degree brands tailored to local markets."
