NBCU Bolsters Cable Team

NEW YORK: Beth Roberts has been named COO of Universal Cable Productions and executive VP of business affairs for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and Cable Studios.

Roberts will report to Bonnie Hammer, chairman. Roberts takes over the operational responsibilities for the strategic and financial growth of Universal Cable Productions, with additional oversight for the business affairs of USA Network, Syfy, E!, G4, Sleuth, Chiller, Universal HD, UCP and E! production studios. For NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment and Cable Studios, in addition to overseeing an expanded business affairs portfolio, Roberts will manage the continued growth of the production studio while identifying key strategic initiatives in the areas of content creation and business development. She will also oversee the studio’s day-to-day operations.
