HBO Partners with Peter Berg

LOS ANGELES: Acclaimed filmmaker Peter Berg is set to direct and exec-produce On Freddie Roach, a new HBO reality series focused on the famous boxing trainer.

A co-production of Film 44 and Atticus Entertainment, the cinéma-vérité series focuses on Roach as he runs his Wildcard Boxing Club in Hollywood, manages his new role with USA Boxing, and battles Parkinson’s disease. The six-episode series is set to debut in early 2012.

"Freddie Roach is an extraordinary person and many of our subscribers are familiar with his superior work in training some of the world’s premier fighters. This will be a fascinating and unique series."
