LONDON: Food Network has snapped up the cooking challenge show Gino v Britain and will air the series on its U.K. channel and across EMEA.

The 15×30-minute series is presented by Claire Sweeney and TV chef Gino D’Acampo and pits the public against the chef in a battle to see if the average individual can beat the professional cook at his own signature dishes.

Nick Thorogood, the managing director of Food Network for EMEA, said: "We are thrilled to welcome chef Gino D’Acampo back to the Food Network family, this time in his new cooking series. The series is not only a great competition format, but also perfectly complements our U.S. shows with a taste of cooking from throughout the U.K."
