LONDON/SANTA MONICA: Content Media Corporation has extended its co-ownership and distribution pact with reality production outfit Collins Avenue, which has just secured a commission from Animal Planet for the taxidermy docu-series Romance is Dead.

Content first got into business with Jeff Collins and Collins Avenue in 2009 when it bought a 50-percent stake in the outfit and Content Television (then Fireworks International) secured a distribution agreement with the company. "Jeff has been a great partner, and his company is going from strength to strength with new commissions from major networks and other initiatives that will bear fruit soon," said John Schmidt, CEO of Content Media Corporation. "We are proud to have him as part of the Content corporate family."

Collins added, “I am delighted to continue to be in business with Content, which has been a great partner over the past two years. Its initial and ongoing support has provided us with the opportunity to capitalize on the strong worldwide appetite for reality formats and provided us with the foundation to expand our development output, as these most recent production orders from Animal Planet and TLC illustrate. Their digital strategy also complements our programming plans at Collins Avenue.”
