TEL AVIV: FremantleMedia’s Dutch production arm, Blue Circle, will produce a local version of Armoza Formats’ factual-entertainment title Connected for NED3.

Armoza inked the deal with NCRV, whose head of formats, William Hoes, says that casting is under way for women "who already have extensive experience with social networking and who are not ashamed to share their lives with the world."

The show focuses on five women who don’t know each other but whose lives become connected through the course of the series. Currently in season three in Israel on Hot3, the format has been licensed to TV2 in Denmark, where Strix will produce, as well as Channel 1+1 in Russia and 1+1 in Ukraine.

"We’re very pleased to partner with NCRV on a Dutch adaptation of Connected," said CEO Avi Armoza. "The cross-platform approach that NCRV is taking reinforces the format’s ties to the online cultural revolution and the way it has impacted our society and communication habits."
