Eva Luna Tops 9.7 Million Finale Viewers

MIAMI: Venevision Productions’ Eva Luna reached more than 9.7 million viewers during its April 12 two-hour finale on Univision.

The hit telenovela, starring Guy Ecker and Blanca Soto, had an average rating of 27.8 in its 8 p.m. time slot on Univision, with an average audience that surpassed 6.5 million viewers, according to Nielsen’s National Hispanic People Meter. Eva Luna, produced in HD by Venevision Productions, currently airs in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Canada and Puerto Rico, and it’s expected to air in the near future in Spain, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Georgia, Dominican Republic, Panama, Peru, Paraguay, Guatemala, Mexico, Venezuela, Lithuania, Romania, Croatia, and the Middle East, among other international markets. It is sold worldwide by Venevision International.

Eva Luna is a love story set in Los Angeles and centers on the strikingly beautiful yet humble and enterprising young woman, Eva Gonalez, who comes to the U.S. for a better life. She falls in love with an advertising executive, a wealthy widower with a young daughter. Yet his best friend will stop at nothing to conquer Eva, causing a rift between the two friends.
