9 Story Inks Deals for Harriet the Spy Movie

TORONTO: 9 Story Entertainment has inked a number of new broadcast and DVD deals for its movie Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars.

The live-action movie has been picked up by NRJ 12 in France, TV Globo in Brazil, and Super Ecran and VRAK in Quebec. DVD rights have been acquired by Madman in Australia. Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars debuted on Disney Channel in the U.S. in 2010 and rolled out internationally on Disney Channels throughout the year.

The movie, which is loosely based on the books by Louise Fitzhugh, takes a contemporary twist on the iconic Harriet character as she attempts to become the official blogger of her high school. Jennifer Stone of Wizards of Waverly Place takes the lead role.
