SILVER SPRING: Science Channel’s breakout series Oddities, which spotlights an NYC emporium of the mysterious and the macabre, returns for a second season on April 9.

Oddities is set within Obscura, a shop in New York’s East Village that deals in rare and eccentric antique pieces, from circus sideshow props to natural anomalies to items dabbling in the occult. The show features Obscura’s proprietors, Mike and Evan, along with an assortment of patrons who are buying and selling hard-to-find abnormal assets.

"At Science Channel, we make it our goal to ‘own weird’ on television," said Debbie Adler Myers, the executive VP and general manager of Science Channel.  "Obscura might be the most fascinatingly bizarre place I have ever been, and Oddities takes viewers through the looking glass for an incredibly entertaining look at one of the most unique subcultures anywhere."
