LONDON: Banijay International has secured an exclusive output deal in Egypt with Medialife that includes hit formats such as 71 Degrees North, My Parents Are Gonna Love You and Sold!.

The deal sees Medialife representing all of Banijay International’s formats in Egypt, except for three formats already licensed for the Middle East, for a period of two years. Medialife is also looking into producing or co-producing format adaptations from the catalogue across the country.

Karoline Spodsberg, the managing director of Banijay International, said: "In partnering with a reputable and established company like Medialife, we are confident we can further integrate ourselves into Egypt as one of the most important markets in the Middle East, a priority region for us going forward.”

“We are delighted to establish a relationship with Banijay International,” added Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Medialife’s chairman. “It is a first step to achieving our goal of developing our profile internationally through strategic partnerships with key foreign partners.”
