MUNICH: The sciencetainment magazine Galileo has been sold by SevenOne International to Spain’s Nova, a channel of Antena 3.

Galileo is airing under its original title on Saturdays and Sundays at 7 p.m. on Nova. The Spanish version is hosted by Roberto Brasero. The show first debuted in Germany on ProSieben in 1998 and has since been adapted locally in a number of countries, including Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, Russia and France.

Axel Böhm, regional sales director and head of international fiction acquisition at SevenOne International, said: "By shedding light on both common and extraordinary phenomena, Galileo is sciencetainment at its best. With its proven track record, Galileo is one of the most successful sciencetainment magazines worldwide and fits perfectly into Nova’s programming strategy."
