LONDON: ALL3MEDIA International has signed up a number of new broadcasters for the hit teen series Skins, ahead of the fifth season launching in the U.K.

A Latin American pan-regional deal has been signed with HBO. A separate agreement was inked with Globosat in Brazil. Tcast in South Korea went for the fifth season, along with renewing the first two. VTM in Belgium, TV Catalunya, SBS and Foxtel in Australia, as well as New Zealand’s TV3 C4 channel, have pre-signed for the series. A host of other sales are expected as the fifth season is completed.

Seasons five and six were commissioned in the U.K. by E4. A U.S. version is currently in production for MTV.

Louise Pedersen, the managing director at ALL3MEDIA International, commented, “Since its launch in 2007, Skins has established itself as the leading cutting-edge youth series—providing ground-breaking drama which combines humor, drama and entertainment in a style that both teen and adult audiences can relate to. International broadcasters were quick to tune in to the Skins phenomenon and we are delighted to see their enthusiasm continue to grow with these new deals.”
