WEST HOLLYWOOD: The Travel Channel is set to debut the action docuseries First Ascent, which it acquired from Shankly International Distribution, on November 4.

The 6×30-minute series is a co-production with National Geographic International and Sender Films. The show watches as expert mountain climbers take their vertical skills to the limit, with feats such as walking tightropes across rock spires, BASE jumping off peaks and dangling thousands of feet off the ground without a rope or safety harness.

“No one shares our passion and excitement for cutting edge programs on a global scale like The Travel Channel,” said Leon Logothetis, the CEO of Shankly International Distribution. “We’re thrilled to partner up with them on this great series.”
