TORONTO: My Babysitter’s a Vampire is TELETOON’s first-ever original live-action feature, slated to make its debut on October 9 at 7 p.m.

The family friendly live-action film features computer-generated visual effects and animation. The movie follows a 14-year-old boy, who, along with his best pals, is determined to shed his geeky image. His babysitter winds up being a very attractive girl he’s had a crush on forever, who actually has a boyfriend who is a vampire. My Babysitter’s a Vampire was developed by Fresh TV in association with TELETOON Canada.

"TELETOON has a rich history of producing hit original programming and we’re thrilled to be teaming up with a highly talented creative team that includes award-winning Canadian director Bruce McDonald as we make our first foray into feature film," said Carole Bonneau, the VP of programming at TELETOON. "With a target audience of 6- to 12-year-olds, this film is the perfect way to make the popular vampire genre accessible to a younger audience."
