BURBANK: Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution has been picked up for a second season on ABC.

The new season will kick off later this year on ABC for a six-episode run. From Fresh One and Ryan Seacrest Productions, the series follows the famed celebrity chef as he helps combat the issues of obesity, heart disease and diabetes in this country. The show is loosely based on Oliver’s British hits Jamie’s Ministry of Food and Jamie’s School Dinners.

The first season Friday 9 p.m. run led its time slot and stood as the night’s number one program across all key adult demographics.
