Video Interview: MTVNI’s Caroline Beaton

NEW YORK: Caroline Beaton, the senior VP of international program sales at MTV Networks International (MTVNI), talks in this video interview about the company’s position in the format arena and highlights what’s big in comedy and entertainment.

 

Recognized the world over, MTVNI holds interests in multimedia entertainment brands seen in 160 countries and 33 languages. From music stalwarts such as MTV and VH1 to perennially popular channels like Comedy Central and Nickelodeon, MTVNI is home to some of the most widely recognized brands on the market. Its multimedia offerings like TMF (The Music Factory), VIVA, Flux, Paramount Comedy, Game One, Neopets, GameTrailers, Shockwave, Addicting Games, Atom Films and Xfire provide audiences around the world with access to their favorite entertainment through 172 locally programmed and operated TV channels and more than 400 digital media properties.

There is a high volume of quality programming from within the group. In addition to finished programs, MTVNI has long been a player in the format market, giving global legs to many of its hit franchises. Just over a year ago, Beaton rejoined MTVNI in an effort to further drive its formats business. As the senior VP of international program sales, Beaton has shored up deals across the globe that have resulted in localized adaptations for some of the company’s biggest hits.
