Talent Exec. Maureen Taran Joins EPIX

NEW YORK: Maureen Taran has joined EPIX as its VP of original programming live events.

Taran was most recently the supervising producer for Showtime’s The Green Room with Paul Provenza. She also was formerly the VP of programming for the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. Taran founded the Taran Company Consulting, based in New York, where she served as a talent consultant. At EPIX, Taran will report to Laverne McKinnon, the executive VP of original programming and development. EPIX’s current slate of music and comedy artists includes Madonna, Black Eyed Peas, David Cross, Eddie Izzard, Janeane Garofalo and Lewis Black.
