Globo Takes Doc Titles to Banff

BANFF: Globo TV International is on hand at the Banff World Television Festival with its complete portfolio of programming, highlighted by a lineup of documentaries that were created specifically for the international market.

The first and second seasons of the GloboDOC programming are at Banff. The first, Wildlife, launched in 2009. It’s made up of 13 titles, each 52 minutes. The series showcases the beauty of the flora and fauna. In the second, there are seven new titles in the categories of culture, science and technology and personalities.

In addition to the the two seasons, the Carnaval Doc is also at Banff. It’s comprised of three episodes, each 45 minutes, presenting what is considered by many to be the largest party in the world.

"The main differential of this product is the Brazilian perspective on Brazil, a sensibility that only we have and that is so different for the viewers in other parts of the world," said Raphael Corrêa Netto, the head of international sales at Globo TV International.
