NEW YORK: David Ward, Todd Field, Lawrence O’Donnell and Todd Holland are among the creative talent that is set to develop original scripted drama and comedy programming for the new premium entertainment channel EPIX.

Ward (The Sting) and O’Donnell (The West Wing) join Jeffrey Fiskin to develop the one-hour epic drama The Supremes, about a supreme court clerk and his experience through the inner workings of Washington. Field (In the Bedroom, Little Children) is on board with writer Evan Bleiweiss for an as-yet-untitled drama based on the true story of a moral young man who goes to work for Penthouse magazine. Holland (Malcolm in the Middle, The Larry Sanders Show) is partnering with writer Andrea Abbate on the half-hour single-camera comedy Random Acts, about female hit men.

Also on the EPIX slate are Human Resources from Imagine and Robert Borden, Gonzo from Michael Oates Palmer and Ann Blanchard and Margin of Error from D.V. DeVincentis and Amy Rice. There’s also Pulp Bromace from Michael Davis and Don Murphy. These join the previously announced projects Still Holding, which is Oliver Stone’s first foray into the development of a scripted series, and iCON from Emmy-winner Larry Charles.

Mark Greenberg, the president and CEO of EPIX, said, "We are thrilled that the creative community is bringing us their passion projects. Every single one of our creators has a strong point of view that captures an epic character journey whether comedy or drama."
