LONDON: Director’s Night is a new monthly slot, created exclusively for Horror Channel in the U.K. and produced in-house, that will provide a look into the minds of the genre’s top directors.

Each night will feature a horror director in 3×3-minute segments introducing one of their own films, followed by two films of their choice from Horror Channel’s movie archives. Within the segments, the directors will share what it is they love about the horror genre, what inspires them and the reason why they have chosen each film.

The new block kicks off on May 6 at 9 p.m. with British director Jake West. In June, Tim Sullivan is featured. Director’s Night is set to be a regular feature on the U.K. horror channel, with 12 per year currently planned.

Paul McEvoy, the programming coordinator for Horror Channel, commented: “It’s fantastic to have secured these exclusive ‘Director’s Nights’ for Horror Channel. We already have a number of amazing directors lined up for the monthly slots and some of the biggest names in the horror genre are keen to participate. Horror fans will be given a truly unique insight into the mind of a horror director and find out what it takes to become successful in an industry which consistently raises the fright stakes.”
