ORF Notches Up New Deals

CANNES: Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) has closed a number of international deals, including a package of 110 hours to Italy for free- and pay-TV channels.

ORF secured further sales to Brunei’s RTB, Thai Public Broadcasting, Korean EBS and True Visions. Mexican university channel TV Unam signed up for a package of 28 hours that included the investigative documentary Voynich Mystery, operas, concerts and films from the UNIVERSUM strand. Canada’s High Fidelity HDTV also took a package of UNIVERSUM productions, including the three-part doc The Great Rift.

Also receiving strong interest was Mother Teresa: A Saint in the Darkness, which is based on exclusive access to Mother Teresa’s notes that have recently been published.
