LOS ANGELES: Barry O’Brien and Richard Correll, co-creators of Disney Channel’s mega-hit Hannah Montana, have filed suit against the network, alleging they have not received a fair share of the profits.

According to Reuters, the $5-million suit was filed yesterday in Los Angeles Superior Court. O’Brien and Correll, who created the show in 2005 with Michael Poryes, maintain that they are owed millions in profits and that Disney has denied requests for payment. Correll also alleges wrongful termination. The series, starring Miley Cyrus, is one of Disney’s most lucrative franchises. It wraps its run with its fourth season this year.
