The Parents Scores New International Deals

MONTREAL: La Presse Télé has inked additional sales for the scripted format The Parents, which was recently picked up for production in Israel for Channel 10 to debut in May.

The Parents, which launched last year at MIPTV, has been a strong performer on Antena 3 in Spain and Mega in Greece, with both territories in discussions for a second season. The original version in French Canada on SRC was number one during its entire second-season run. The Parents has also been optioned in France, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Turkey.

La Presse Télé will further be presenting the variety prime-time entertainment show A Star’s Life in Lyrics. Already a success on SRC in Canada, the show recently scored a deal with Banijay.
