Beyond Sells Mythbusters to Discovery in Asia

SYDNEY: Beyond Distribution has licensed the sixth season of Mythbusters to Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific (DNAP), which has additionally agreed to take on all episodes of the series being produced.

The 168×1-hour series investigates the bizarre claims of urban legends, putting them to the test with modern analysis. Mythbusters is a co-production from Beyond Productions and Discovery Communications. Beyond will be bringing 30 new episodes of the show to MIPTV.

Beyond’s head of sales, Munia Kanna-Konsek, commented of the deal, “It’s a testament to this successful series that DNAP have committed to the title. DNAP’s audience love science and educational programming. What makes Mythbusters captivating is the fact that it encapsulates a great deal of humor, excitement, adventure and explosions that go hand in hand with the science of busting myths.”
