KidsCo Teams with UNICEF UK

LONDON: KidsCo is working with the children’s advocacy group UNICEF UK on a series of 45-second clips that encourage kids to think about the world they live in.

The clips will air in 18 language across 85 countries starting this month and will be shown up to eight times per day. KidsCo’s UNICEF programming will feature students from a British school sharing their ideas about how they would change the world.

Paul Robinson, the managing director of KidsCo, said: "KidsCo’s viewers were very enthusiastic about our association with UNICEF’s Global Handwashing Day, which we were involved with last year through The Wiggles, one of our most popular shows. I was keen to build on this relationship with a project that encourages children to get involved and make changes in the world. KidsCo is committed to providing kids with content that will reward and stimulate them while they have fun. We are proud to be working with UNICEF again and hope that this is a relationship that will continue to develop in the future."

He added: "Producing our own content in the U.K. was an important part of the process for KidsCo. Having commissioned original series Boo & Me and Jass Time, the opportunity to create on-air content that made U.K. kids the stars in aid of such a good cause was very appealing."

Paula Pearce, the head of fundraising initiatives at UNICEF UK, commented: “We are very excited about continuing our relationship with KidsCo and find its support in raising awareness about children’s rights extremely valuable. UNICEF’s mandate is to uphold the rights of all children all over the world and this project is a fantastic example of how we can give children a voice and make sure their opinions are heard.”
