France Télévisions Signs Licensing Deal with 4Kids

LONDON: 4Kids Entertainment has named France Télévisions Distribution as licensing agent for the preschool brand WordWorld in France.

The series centers on a group of WordFriends—Dog, Duck, Ant, Bear, Frog, Sheep and Pig—who live in WordWorld and together they learn how the power of words can help solve problems. As a brand, WordWorld has already proved popular with U.S. licensees, with deals already in place for construction toys, arts and crafts, DVDs, publishing, party goods and software.

The French series of WordWorld, Le Monde des Mots, is set to broadcast on France 5. The series will be extended and completed by an on air experience, with an interactive aspect.
