World Screen Video Interview: Roma Khanna

NEW YORK: Kicking off a series of insightful video interviews with World Screen, Roma Khanna, the president of Universal Networks International and Digital Initiatives, talks about the decision to refresh NBCU’s global channel brands and the growth she sees for the coming year. 

Under the renamed Universal Networks International division, the channel portfolio includes Universal Channel, the flagship entertainment service; 13th Street Universal, featuring crime and suspense drama; Syfy Universal, delivering original sci-fi and fantasy; Diva Universal, geared towards women; and Studio Universal for movies. NBCU’s international networks business has grown from 15 services in 2007 to about 70 this year. Universal Networks International aims to reach 100 channels in 2010. Khanna talks with World Screen about these growth plans in the video interview below.
