9 Story Steps into DTV Market

TORONTO, January 21: 9 Story Entertainment has made its
first foray into direct-to-video (DTV) production, securing the rights to
Canadian author Joan Clark’s children’s book The Hand of Robin Squires, which will be developed and produced into an
animated feature.

9 Story is working with Peter Moss to develop the feature,
which tells the story of a young boy’s quest to find the truth to a
century’s-worth of secrets, eventually finding a hidden pirates’ treasure along
the way.

“Joan Clark is one of Canada’s most beloved authors,” said
Vince Commisso, the president and CEO of 9 Story Entertainment. “The Hand of
Robin Squires
is a character-driven
coming-of-age story. Ms. Clark’s wonderfully crafted delivery of this mystical
pirate tale makes it an ideal story to bring to life as an animated
feature-length film for children and family audiences. We look forward to
bringing Ms. Clark’s spirited story to the screen.”
