63-Percent Rise in Deals Closed at Asia Media Festival

SINGAPORE, December 18: Deals worth a total of $76.7 million
were closed at the Asia Media Festival, a 63-percent increase on the previous
year, with 5,293 participants from more than 50 countries in attendance.

A further $60 million in deals is expected over the next 12
months.

Hosted by the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA)
and organized by Reed Exhibitions, the AMF took place from November 14 to
December 4 and included the Asia Television Forum (ATF) and Asia Factual Forum,
among other events.

Deals announced at the ATF included Disney-ABC International
Television Asia Pacific licensing new drama and comedy series to 13
broadcasters region-wide. In addition, the MDA announced new alliances with the
Philippines and France to facilitate co-productions and other media
collaborations.

In addition, the MDA announced an initiative with the
William Morris Agency (WMA) for a Masterclass Series, aimed at bolstering local
talent.

The Media Financing Forum, also part of the ATF, attracted
12 distributors and financiers and a total of 213 delegates. And the Asia
Factual Forum was attended by 120 people from 15 countries.
