4Kids Names New Corporate Communications Chief

NEW YORK, December 18: 4Kids Entertainment has appointed
Barry Stagg as senior VP of corporate communications.

In his new role, Stagg will implement a global
communications strategy to expand the awareness of 4Kids’ current properties
and operations, as well as new brands and business ventures.

Stagg has served in corporate communications roles at
various entertainment companies, including Fox Family Worldwide (FFW),
Lorimar/Warner Bros. Television and Embassy Television (now Sony Pictures
Television). Among his achievements at FFW are his promotion efforts for the Power
Rangers
phenomenon, the launch of Fox
Family Channel (now ABC Family), and helping to lead the evolution of Fox Kids
into a global brand. For Lorimar/Warner Bros. Television and Embassy
Television, he has overseen campaigns for Dallas, Knots Landing, Full House, Who’s
The Boss?
, Diff’rent Strokes, The Facts of Life and The Jeffersons.

Most recently, Stagg has been leading communications
activities at emerging companies in the new-media space, including Amp’d
Mobile, SMS.ac and Diino.com.
