4Kids Entertainment Secures New Broadcast Deals for Viva Piñata

NEW YORK, April 10: 4Kids Entertainment has licensed its new
CGI comedy adventure series Viva Piñata
to Mediaset in Italy, TV 2 in Denmark, MTV 3 in Finland and Momo Kids TV in
Taiwan.

Twenty-six new half-hour episodes of the series will be
available to international buyers at MIPTV. Viva Piñata already airs on Saturday mornings in the U.S. on 4Kids
TV
on FOX. Previously, the series has also
been licensed for broadcast to YTV in Canada, France 3, RTL II in Germany,
Canal J in France, Nickelodeon (U.K., Netherlands, Spain,
Australia and New Zealand), NRK in Norway, SIC in Portugal, MediaCorp TV12's
Kid Central in Singapore and Children’s Channel in Israel, among others.

Viva Piñata has also
launched on new media platforms. The hit animated series can be seen on the
4Kids TV VOD Channel on Comcast and Cox On Demand. The exclusive Xbox 360 video
game of Viva Piñata by Microsoft
Game Studios and Rare, Ltd., also launched worldwide in 2006.

4Kids Entertainment appointed Bardel Entertainment, the
award winning Vancouver-based animation company, to execute the 3-D CGI
animation in hi-definition format. 4Kids holds the exclusive rights to
represent Viva Piñata worldwide across broadcast,
home video, music and merchandise licensing.

In Viva Piñata,
available as 52×30-minute episodes or 104×11-minute episodes, a cast of
outrageous piñata “friends” embarks on wild adventures with mysteries to solve
and parties to be had on Piñata Island.
